Traveling with the F 450 GS – What’s the Best Luggage?

At the front, various tank bags from the PRO series can be used on the PRO tank ring—ranging from the large PRO GS, with a capacity of up to 20 liters, to the new compact PRO Edge.  At the rear, SW-MOTECH offers various options for luggage transport: On the side , the side bags from the Legend Gear and WP series can be attached to the V-LOC carrier. With its magnetic guide, the V-LOC carrier allows for easy and safe attachment of the side bags in a single step.

Since the F 450 GS can also be equipped with an original BMW rack, we offer the V-LOC rack in two different versions: Version 1 specifically for the 450 GS with the original BMW rack, and Version 2 for the 450 GS without this rack.  If the BMW F 450 GS is equipped with the original BMW rack, then the large ADVENTURE-RACK rack can also be mounted on the motorcycle to carry the DUSC XL top case with a volume of 55 liters.

Since the F 450 GS is one of the lighter and more compact adventure bikes, we also manufacture our sporty STREET-RACK luggage rack specifically for this bike. Various tail bags from the PRO or Drybag series can be secured to the STREET-RACK and the passenger seat. This gives you flexibility in terms of your carrying capacity and allows you to use the right bag for your planned trip: from the small, compact PRO Roadpack with a volume of 8–14 liters to the large PRO Travelbag with a carrying capacity of 65 liters.

Accessories for Protection and Improved Ergonomics on the BMW F 450 GS

To ensure that your BMW is protected as well as possible from damage, we offer a wide selection of products for protection: axle sliders for the front axle and for the left side of the rear axle protect the fork and rear suspension from potential damage.

A robust engine guard, available in black powder coated and brushed silver finishes, can protect the new twin-cylinder engine of the BMW 450 GS from damage during off-road riding. Offering even more protection for this small touring enduro against crashes and rock chips is the radiator guard—featuring a distinctive bull logo—and the crash bar made of black powder coated steel tube.

For safety while riding and comfortable long tours, SW-MOTECH offers matching accessories: The mirror extensions expand the view to include everything happening behind the rider on the road. The position of the feet can be optimally adjusted with the EVO footrest. It offers a wide range of adjustment options, including for off-road riding.
