OPEN HOUSE attracts 25,000 Visitors to Rauschenberg
Last weekend, Rauschenberg once again became an international hub for the motorcycle community: For the 17th OPEN HOUSE, SW-MOTECH welcomed around 25,000 visitors to its company grounds in Central Hesse.
A particular crowd-pleaser was the opportunity to test ride the latest models from leading motorcycle manufacturers. Together with BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha, and Zero, SW-MOTECH offered guests the opportunity to experience the latest motorcycles right on site and test them extensively. The offer was taken up enthusiastically: More than 2,600 test rides were recorded over the event weekend.
Travel stories, new products, and live music
The center of attention was the main stage, which featured a varied program of travel talks, product presentations, and live music. Motorcycle travelers Irene Seidler, Thomas Kintzinger, and Erik Peters captivated the audience with exciting insights into their adventures around the globe. In addition, numerous manufacturers and brands took to the stage to showcase the latest motorcycles, new products, and innovations.
SW-MOTECH also presented its latest developments, including the new PEAX luggage line with a strapless saddlebag system.
Various live acts provided the musical highlights in the evening: While the cover band Seven Hell thrilled the audience on Friday, Radio BOB! Rock on Tour and Barbed Wire brought a real festival vibe to the event grounds on Saturday.
Corporate tour and showroom as crowd-pullers
Another highlight of the program was a tour of the SW-MOTECH facilities. Visitors gained insights into prototype development, the manufacturing of luggage systems, and quality assurance. At various stations, hands-on demonstrations showed how products are developed, inspected, and tested for their suitability for everyday use on motorcycles.
In the showroom, OPEN HOUSE visitors took the opportunity to get advice directly from the sales team and discover the latest accessory solutions. Highlights included several fully equipped motorcycles, including the Kawasaki KLE 500 and the Honda CB1000 Hornet. The saddlebags from the new PEAX luggage line could also be examined up close here.
FMX show, family entertainment, and camping
The festival grounds offered a diverse program for visitors of all ages. Among the highlights were the performances by the FMX riders, who showcased their skills three times a day with spectacular jumps and challenging tricks.
The beer garden was the perfect spot to relax and chat with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts. Families also had plenty to enjoy: In the Kids Fun Park, featuring a bounce house and a pit bike course, the youngest guests could let off steam and get their first taste of riding on two wheels.
Many visitors took advantage of the free campground right next to the event grounds and wrapped up the eventful days in a relaxed atmosphere.
SW-MOTECH would like to thank all visitors, participating manufacturers and exhibitors, as well as the city of Rauschenberg, the local authorities, and the many supporters from the region who contributed to the event’s success.
Following the successful OPEN HOUSE 2026, the date for the next edition has already been set: From June 11 to 13, 2027, Rauschenberg will once again become a meeting place for motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Europe.
