OPEN HOUSE 2022

After almost three years of waiting, the time had finally come again last weekend:

SW-MOTECH invited to OPEN HOUSE 2022 and more than 30,000 motorcycle enthusiasts came to Rauschenberg. In bright sunshine, visitors, exhibitors, employees and their families celebrated a motorcycle festival that everyone will remember for a long time. A relaxed atmosphere prevailed everywhere on the festival grounds, the many joyful faces testified to an exuberant mood throughout.

"You could tell how much people were longing for an event like this, especially after such a long dry spell. And it was also something very special for us," said Jörg Diehl, Managing Director of SW-MOTECH. "We are overjoyed that everything went so well this weekend and we are already looking forward to a sequel next year."

Around Rauschenberg, motorcycles dominated the country roads

Nearly 2,500 test rides were completed over the entire weekend. Due to the closure of the main road and the expansion of the festival area, the flow of visitors was equalized and the handling of the test rides went off without a hitch. Best conditions to test the numerous top bikes of the different manufacturers: Ducati unleashed the brand new Desert X, Open House newcomer Aprilia presented the Tuareg 660 and Husqvarna provided the Norden 901. The US manufacturers Harley-Davidson and Indian celebrated their OPEN HOUSE premiere and made their fleet available for numerous test rides. Well-known names such as BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Triumph, Suzuki, Yamaha and Zero rounded off the extensive range with their motorcycles.

Other brands from the two-wheeler sector were present on the large dealer mile and exhibited their products: Akrapovic, Continental, Heidenau, John Doe, Macna, Nolan, Rukka, Schuberth, Stadler, Wilbers and many more contributed significantly to the well-rounded festival feeling.

Beer, Stunt-Show and a lot of fun for the children

The fearless stunt riders of the FMX Show provided real action: With their daredevil backflips and "heart attacks" the actors thrilled the spectators - a total of six times the atmosphere around the stunt area was really heated up. The neighboring beer garden was a popular meeting place for extended breaks, the bouncy castle and the course for quads and electric mini FTR's was the fun magnet for the numerous young visitors. Almost 400 campers took the opportunity and spent the night on the spacious tent meadow.

On the large live stage, the manufacturers presented their bike innovations, Erik Peters sparked wanderlust with his atmospheric travel talk. And on Friday and Saturday evening there was something for the ears: The cover band "SEVEN HELL" brought the party audience to the boil with a powerful-voiced foray through rock history and set a worthy conclusion to the exciting festival days.

The visitors could discover the SW-MOTECH product world either in the factory outlet, the large B-warehouse or the merchandise trailer. On the information tour through the workshop, production and quality assurance, the employees of the individual departments gave deeper insights into their daily work.

More exhibitors, more visitors, more test rides - OPEN HOUSE 2022 was a superlative motorcycle event and a perfect meeting place for the entire community. "An undertaking like this only succeeds when quite a few parties pull together," enthused Marketing Director Johannes Klotz. "Our thanks go out to everyone involved in making this special event possible. This includes our staff, the exhibitors, the city of Rauschenberg and the numerous external service providers. The success of the event confirms to us that the great effort put in beforehand was definitely worth it."
